Jeff Saradar

Jeff Saradar

Mr. Saradar opened his own practice after graduating from the the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at William and Mary in 2002, which he ran as a solo practitioner for about six years before coming to Northern Virginia. Magner Law managing member, Jim Magner, actively recruited Mr. Saradar, having known him and his reputation as a thorough and methodical litigator.  Jeff agreed, and joined Magner Law as “of Counsel” in July 2017.

Jeff has handled a variety of civil litigation, including a number of jury trials, divorces, custody disputes, personal injury, and landlord/tenant litigation, and has appeared in numerous state and federal courts.  He has also handled a variety of criminal cases, early in his career serving as a Court-Appointed Attorney for indigent criminal defendants in Newport News, Virginia.

Over the years his primary focus has shifted and he currently handles predominantly divorce and custody cases.  Jeff helped Magner Law develop and fine-tune it’s “Divorce with Dignity” approach to family law, emphasizing the clients’ needs for privacy, closure and efficient resolution of their cases. Jeff’s past experiences with the “attack dog” mentality of many who practice in this area led him to conclude that there was a better way to serve our clients.

Jeff is the man for the job.  He has extensive experience litigating divorces involving the division of highly complicated and high value estates, estates involving international issues, as well as contentious, emotional and volatile custody cases.  Mr. Saradar understands the reality that both early planning and ongoing accessibility to legal advice can be absolutely vital to the success of those going through divorce and custody cases.

“Litigants or potential litigants in this area need legal advice early, and in many cases quite often over years, as all of their behaviors for years- from spending habits to manner of communication will be subject to evaluation in their case.”

Jeff also handles complex personal injury cases, including select medical malpractice cases, for which case evaluations are offered at Magner Law.  Jeff has a passion and skill for jury trials as well as a skilled eye and keen sense for when settlements offered provide the better value to a client than litigation.

With a background in law dating back to high school and college legal clerkships, Jeff is proud to say he follows in the footsteps of his favorite mentors who not only sought to provide excellent and efficient legal service, but took great personal rewards in being able to help people.
